Subject: Ocean Manifest Rejections error code 140
CBP is aware that there have been rejections on ocean manifest transmissions returning error
code 140 “BL NUM NOT ALLOWED FOR USE”. CBP is working to resolve this issue and will advise via CSMS when the issue is resolved.
