Subject: M1 Ocean/Rail DRAFT Transaction Sets
REGARDING the “DRAFT” transaction sets for ocean and rail cargo on the CBP.gov web site, this
is a reminder that the M1 versions of the CAMIR (Amendment 11) and X12 transaction sets (005040++) are draft and are subject to revision. Also, the draft sets may contain new codes or data qualifiers and those items are also to be considered within the context of ‘draft’ and must not be used in any data sets being sent to CBP today via the Sea or Rail AMS applications. The draft transaction sets are there for information purposes and no programming/coding or redesign decisions should be made based on the DRAFT versions. CBP will publish “FINAL” versions at a future date.
