Subject: Delay in Rail AMS Messages
Early this morning, CBP began to experience a back-up in the MQ channel that handles rail
messages – there is an excessive number of messages, not all rail related (over 3 million queued up).
At this point, we are trying to purge the queue to allow current messages to flow out but we may lose some of the older messages but at least we can hopefully get the trains moving again.
More information as I hear from the programmers.
- We may have to manually ‘resend’ messages from the MTRC function (at the B/L level).
