RE: SUPPLEMENTAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR SUSPENSION AGREEMENT ON
URANIUM FROM UZBEKISTAN (A-464-402)


1. CAMECO CORPORATION INFORMED COMMERCE THAT A SHIPMENT OF
URANIUM CONTAINING UF6 WILL ARRIVE AT PORT HURON, MICHIGAN
FROM APRIL 25, 1999 THROUGH MAY 12, 1999 VIA MULTIPLE TRUCKS
OPERATED BY RSB LOGISTIC INC. THE TOTAL QUANTITY OF UF6 TO
BE IMPORTED IS 114,818 KGU AS UF6.

2. COMMERCE HAS DETERMINED THAT CAMECO CORPORATION, THE
IMPORTER OF RECORD, HAS SUBMITTED THE APPROPRIATE
INFORMATION AND THAT THIS SHIPMENT SHOULD BE PERMITTED TO
ENTER THE UNITED STATES, PROVIDED THAT CUSTOMS RECEIVES THE
FOLLOWING IMPORT DOCUMENTATION:

A)CERTIFICATE FOR EXPORT, ISSUED BY THE GOVERNMENT OF
UZBEKISTAN;

B) EXPORT LICENSE, INCLUDING RUSSIAN AND ENGLISH
VERSION; AND

C) CERTIFICATIONS FROM THE IMPORTER OF RECORD TO CUSTOMS
STATING THAT:

1)THE URANIUM WAS MINED IN UZBEKISTAN; AND

2) THE URANIUM PRODUCT BEING IMPORTED WAS NOT
OBTAINED UNDER ANY ARRANGEMENT, SWAP, EXCHANGE, OR
OTHER TRANSACTION DESIGNED TO CIRCUMVENT THE
AGREEMENTS WITH KAZAKSTAN, KYRGYZSTAN, THE RUSSIA
FEDERATION, AND UZBEKISTAN, AS AMENDED, AND THE
ANTIDUMPING DUTY ORDER ON UKRAINE.

3. CUSTOMS IS INSTRUCTED TO WITHHOLD/SUSPEND LIQUIDATION OF THE
ENTRY SUMMARY AT A ZERO DEPOSIT RATE FOR THIS ENTRY UNTIL
THE TERMS OF THE AMENDMENT HAVE BEEN MET. AT THAT TIME,
COMMERCE WILL INSTRUCT CUSTOMS TO LIQUIDATE THIS ENTRY, IF
APPROPRIATE.
