RE: REVOCATION OF ANTIDUMPING DUTY ORDER ON ALUMINUM SULFATE

1. IN ACCORDANCE WITH 19 CFR 353.25(d)(4)(iii), THE DEPARTMENT
OF COMMERCE HAS CONCLUDED THAT THERE IS NO INTEREST IN THE
ANTIDUMPING DUTY ORDER ON ALUMINUM SULFATE FROM VENEZUELA.
THEREFORE, THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE HAS REVOKED THIS
ANTIDUMPING DUTY ORDER AND PUBLISHED NOTICE OF THE
REVOCATION IN THE FEDERAL REGISTER ON OCTOBER 3, 1995 (60 FR
51775).

2. THEREFORE, CUSTOMS IS DIRECTED TO TERMINATE THE SUSPENSION
OF LIQUIDATION FOR ALL SHIPMENTS OF ALUMINUM SULFATE FROM
VENEZUELA ENTERED, OR WITHDRAWN FROM WAREHOUSE, FOR
CONSUMPTION ON OR AFTER DECEMBER 1, 1994, AND TO LIQUIDATE
ALL SUCH ENTRY SUMMARIES WITHOUT REGARD TO ANTIDUMPING
DUTIES.

3. THE ASSESSMENT OF ANTIDUMPING DUTIES BY THE CUSTOMS SERVICE
ON ENTRIES OF THIS MERCHANDISE IS SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS
OF SECTION 778 OF THE TARIFF ACT OF 1930. SECTION 778
REQUIRES THAT CUSTOMS PAY INTEREST ON OVERPAYMENTS, OR
ASSESS INTEREST ON UNDERPAYMENTS, OF THE REQUIRED AMOUNTS
DEPOSITED AS ESTIMATED ANTIDUMPING DUTIES.
THE INTEREST PROVISIONS ARE NOT APPLICABLE TO CASH OR BONDS
POSTED AS ESTIMATED ANTIDUMPING DUTIES BEFORE THE DATE OF
PUBLICATION OF THE ANTIDUMPING DUTY ORDER. INTEREST
SHALL BE CALCULATED FROM THE DATE OF PAYMENT OF ESTIMATED
ANTIDUMPING DUTIES THROUGH THE DATE OF LIQUIDATION. THE
RATE AT WHICH SUCH INTEREST IS PAYABLE IS THE RATE
IN EFFECT UNDER SECTION 6621 OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE OF
1954 FOR SUCH PERIOD.
