PASS TO IMPORT SPECIALISTS, CUSTOMS BROKERS, AND OTHER
INTERESTED PARTIES.

1. ON FEBRUARY 20, 1992, IN RESPONSE TO A REQUEST BY SHARP
CORPORATION AND SHARP ELECTRONICS CORPORATION, THE DEPARTMENT
ISSUED A FINAL SCOPE RULING THAT SHARP'S QA-1000 COMPUTER
PROJECTION PANEL (CPP) IS NOT WITHIN THE SCOPE OF THE ANTIDUMPING
DUTY ORDER ON ACTIVE-MATRIX LIQUID CRYSTAL HIGH INFORMATION
CONTENT FLAT PANEL DISPLAYS AND DISPLAY GLASS THEREFOR FROM
JAPAN.

2. THE SHARP QA-1000 CPP IS NOT WITHIN FROM THE SCOPE OF THE
ORDER BECAUSE IT IS A DOWNSTREAM END-USE PRODUCT THAT
INCORPORATES AN ACTIVE-MATRIX LIQUID CRYSTAL HIGH INFORMATION
CONTENT (AM HIC LCD) PANEL WITH OVER 120,000 PIXELS.

3. EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, TERMINATE SUSPENSION AND LIQUIDATE
ALL UNLIQUIDATED ENTRIES, REGARDLESS OF ENTRY DATE, OF THE ABOVE
LISTED PRODUCT.

4. REFUND ANY CASH DEPOSITS AND RELEASE ANY BONDS RELATING TO
THE ABOVE LISTED PRODUCT.

5. IN ACCORDANCE WITH PREVIOUS INSTRUCTIONS, CONTINUE TO

SUSPEND LIQUIDATION OF ACTIVE-MATRIX LIQUID CRYSTAL HIGH
INFORMATION CONTENT FLAT PANEL DISPLAYS AND DISPLAY GLASS THERFOR
FROM JAPAN.
