1. THE DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE HAS PUBLISHED IN THE FEDERAL
REGISTER (66 FR 37638) ON 07/19/2001 THE FINAL RESULTS OF ITS
ADMINISTRATIVE REVIEW OF CERTAIN MANUFACTURERS/EXPORTERS SUBJECT
TO THE ANTIDUMPING ORDER ON CERTAIN CASED PENCILS FROM THE
PEOPLE'
S REPUBLIC OF CHINA FOR THE PERIOD 12/01/1998 THROUGH 11/30/1999.

2. AS A RESULT OF COMMERCE'S REVIEW, THE CASH DEPOSIT RATES HAVE
BEEN REVISED FOR CERTAIN MANUFACTURERS/EXPORTERS. THEREFORE, FOR
SHIPMENTS OF CERTAIN CASED PENCILS FROM THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF
CHINA ENTERED, OR WITHDRAWN FROM WAREHOUSE, FOR CONSUMPTION ON OR
AFTER 07/19/2001, THE REQUIRED CASH DEPOSIT HAS BEEN REVISED FOR
THE FOLLOWING MANUFACTURERS/EXPORTERS:

CHINA FIRST PENCIL CO., LTD. A-570-827-004 53.65 PERCENT

3. IF ANY ENTRIES OF THIS MERCHANDISE ARE EXPORTED BY A FIRM
OTHER THAN THE ABOVE COMPANY, THEN THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS
APPLY:

A. FOR COMPANIES PREVIOUSLY FOUND TO BE ENTITLED TO A COMPANY-

SPECIFIC RATE AND FOR WHICH NO REVIEW WAS REQUESTED, THE CASH

DEPOSIT RATES WILL CONTINUE TO BE THE COMPANY-SPECIFIC RATES

PUBLISHED FOR THE MOST RECENT PERIOD REVIEWED.

B. FOR ALL OTHER PRC EXPORTERS OF CERTAIN CASED PENCILS FROM THE
PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA, THE CASH DEPOSIT RATES WILL BE THE
FOLLOWING PRC COUNTRY-WIDE RATE: 53.65 PERCENT.

C. THE CASH DEPOSIT RATES FOR NON-PRC EXPORTERS OF CERTAIN CASED
PENCILS FROM THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA WILL BE THE RATES
APPLICABLE TO THE PRC SUPPLIER OF THE EXPORTER.

4. THESE CASH DEPOSIT REQUIREMENTS WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT UNTIL
PUBLICATION OF THE FINAL RESULTS FOR THE NEXT ADMINISTRATIVE
REVIEW. DO NOT LIQUIDATE ANY ENTRIES COVERED BY THIS REVIEW
UNTIL YOU HAVE RECEIVED LIQUIDATION INSTRUCTIONS.
