DETERMINATION: CHROME-PLATED LUG NUTS FROM TAIWAN
(A-583-810)

1. The Department of Commerce will publish in the Federal
Register on September 20, 1991, its antidumping duty order and
amendment to its final determination on chrome-plated lug nuts
from Taiwan.

2. The products covered by this investigation are one-piece and
two-piece chrome-plated lug nuts, finished or unfinished. The
subject merchandise includes chrome-plated lug nuts, finished or
unfinished, which are more than 11/16 inches (17.45 millimeters)
in height and which have a hexagonal (hex) size of at least 3/4
inches (19.05 millimeters) but not over one inch (25.4
millimeters). The term "unfinished" refers to unplated and/or
unassembled chrome-plated lug nuts. The subject merchandise is
used for securing wheels to cars, vans, trucks, utility vehicles,
and trailers. Zinc-plated lug nuts, finished or unfinished, and
stainless-steel capped lug nuts are not included in the scope of
this investigation. Chrome-plated lock nuts are also not subject
to this investigation. Chrome-plated lug nuts are currently
classified under HTS subheading 7318.16.00.00.

3. For further reporting purposes, this case has been assigned
investigation number A-583-810. The Customs identification number
(below) is to be used for Customs identification purposes and
blue line reports.

4. Blue line reports are required for warehouse withdrawals for
consumption.


5. For exports of all chrome-plated lug nuts from Taiwan, the
Customs Service shall continue to suspend liquidation of
chrome-plated lug nuts that are entered or withdrawn from
warehouse on or after April 18, 1991, and shall require a cash
deposit on entries filed on or after September 20, 1991, equal to
the weighted average margin percentages listed below:
