Definitions

(a)

Wherever the terms “Secretary of Defense” or “Secretary of the Army, Navy, or Air Force” appear in this title or in title VIII of the National Housing Act, as amended by the Housing Amendments of 1955 [

(b)

Wherever the term “armed services” appears in this subchapter it shall be deemed to include the United States Coast Guard.
