RE: The tariff classification of “Crayola Color Wonder Gel Paint” from an undisclosed country. Correction to Ruling Number N290668
Dear Ms. Schoemaker:
This letter corrects Ruling Number N290668, dated October 24, 2017, to reflect a typographical error in the classification subheading. A complete corrected ruling follows.
In your ruling request dated September 28, 2017, you requested a tariff classification ruling on “Crayola Color Wonder Gel Paint.”
Your submission indicates that the product at issue is a water-based paint, intended to be used by children, which will be imported in bulk form.
The applicable subheading for “Crayola Color Wonder Gel Paint” will be 3209.10.0000, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for Paints and varnishes (including enamels and lacquers) based on synthetic polymers or chemically modified natural polymers, dispersed or dissolved in an aqueous medium: Based on acrylic or vinyl polymers. The general rate of duty will be 5.1 percent ad valorem.
