RE: The tariff classification of Amiodarone Hydrochloride (CAS No. 19774-82-4) in bulk form, from France
Dear Mr. Klumph:
In your letter dated June 6, 2017, you requested a tariff classification ruling.
Amiodarone Hydrochloride is a class III antiarrhythmic drug. It is indicated for the treatment of ventricular arrhythmias.
The applicable subheading for the Amiodarone Hydrochloride in bulk form will be 2932.99.6100, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for “Heterocyclic compounds with oxygen hetero-atom(s) only: Other: Other: Aromatic: Other: Products described in additional U.S. note 3 to section VI.” Pursuant to General Note 13, HTSUS, the rate of duty will be free.
