RE: The tariff classification of robes from China
Dear Ms. Garyn:
In your letter dated June 10, 2016, you requested a tariff classification ruling. The samples will be returned to you, as requested.
The submitted samples, Style 109-16S02347, are women’s robes. The robes are constructed from 93% rayon, 7% spandex knit fabric. The loose fitting garments extends from the shoulders to the mid-thigh and feature an unsecured full front opening, short kimono-style hemmed sleeves and a hemmed bottom.
The applicable subheading for Style 109-16S02347will be 6108.92.0030, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for Women’s… negligees, bathrobes, dressing gowns and similar articles, knitted or crocheted: Of man-made fibers. The duty rate will be 16% ad valorem.
