RE: The tariff classification of Stanozolol (CAS No. 10418-03-8) in bulk powder form, from Italy
Dear Ms. Heerdt:
In your letter dated May 3, 2017, you requested a tariff classification ruling.
Stanozolol is a synthetic anabolic steroid and a derivative of dihydrotestosterone. It is indicated for the treatment of hereditary angioedema.
The applicable subheading for the Stanozolol in bulk power form will be 2937.29.9050, Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS), which provides for “Steroidal hormones, their derivatives and structural analogues: Other: Other: Anabolic agents and androgens.” The rate of duty will be free.

This ruling is being issued under the provisions of Part 177 of the Customs Regulations (19 C.F.R. 177).
