The Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965, referred to in subsec. (a)(8), is Pub. L. 89–10, Apr. 11, 1965, 79 Stat. 27. Title I of the Act is classified generally to subchapter I (§ 6301 et seq.) of chapter 70 of Title 20, Education. The McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act, referred to in subsec. (a)(8), is Pub. L. 100–77, July 22, 1987, 101 Stat. 482. Subtitle B of title VII of the Act is classified generally to part B (§ 11431 et seq.) of subchapter VI of chapter 119 of this title. Amendments

2015—Subsec. (a)(7)(B). Pub. L. 114–95, § 9215(nn)(4)(A), substituted “the information provided to parents of English learners under section 1112(e)(3) of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of the 1965” for “the information provided to parents of limited English proficient children under section 3302 of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 7012)”.

Subsec. (a)(8). Pub. L. 114–95, § 9215(nn)(4)(B), substituted “parent and family engagement efforts under title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965” for “parental involvement efforts under title I of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (20 U.S.C. 6301 et seq.)”.

2007—Pub. L. 110–134 amended section generally. Prior to amendment, section related to requirements for Head Start agencies to coordinate with local educational agencies and schools to assist in transition from Head Start to school.
