Act of June 17, 1902 (32 Stat. 388), referred to in text, is act June 17, 1902, ch. 1093, 32 Stat. 388, popularly known as the Reclamation Act, which is classified generally to chapter 12 (§ 371 et seq.) of Title 43, Public Lands. Section is derived from part of section 3 of Pub. L. 87–728. Remainder of such section amended section 835c of this title, and repealed sections 835a, 835b, 835c–3, and 835c–5 of this title.

Transfer of Functions

Power marketing functions of Bureau of Reclamation, including construction, operation, and maintenance of transmission lines and attendant facilities, transferred to Secretary of Energy by section 7152(a)(1)(E), (3) of Title 42, The Public Health and Welfare, and are to be exercised by Secretary through a separate Administration within Department of Energy.
